“Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist.Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” ― G.K. Chesterton (20th Century writer)
I am a member of The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is an international not-for-profit, educational organization devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-17th century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities.
In 2008, I created an annual event aimed at encouraging families to participate in our hobby. It Takes My Child to Raze a Village is built on Family-friendly activities that teach about Medieval Life, or share knowledge about SCA Society (how and why we do things the way we do them.) Below are some photos of past events. For more information you can check out the Facebook page.
